Singing In The Rain

It is raining in Sydney today, buckets of it, and just what all the new transplanted babies in my garden need. 28mm of the wet stuff yesterday, and it is still comming down.

I have transplanted double jonquils, african daisies, two dahlias, and split apart this daisy into quite a few different plants. I also want to split up my shasta daisies as well. A job for another day. The pic above are of jonquils comming up in another bed. I have them scattered all over the garden, and have just recently given away a bucket full of bulbs. So watch this space to see them bloom in the comming weeks.

Jenny, I have a question: since you are heading into the fall now (I think?) and you are moving bulbs and transplanting them, haven't they already bloomed earlier? It's spring HERE, but I got confused when you said to wait to see them bloom in the coming weeks. Are they really going to bloom during your 'fall'? I am so confused about the climate differences. Forgive my ignorance ;-)

P.S. Are you taking advantage of the blotanical features like faves etc? I already faved you--(as a blotanist) as I don't have enough pts. yet to fave your blog; but I will, after I reach the next level. You should do it...it's really fun!

It's so wonderful that it's raining after the terrible summer. It did rain in Melbourne, but not heavy or protracted enough. Still, we hope but also prepare as much as possible for dry gardening.
