Blue Splashes

The irises have been & gone this spring. This year I was very happy to have seven flowers scattered through the garden. They are slowly multiplying from the single bulb I bought a few years back.

Spectacular Show

This bush in my back yard has really appreciated the rain that we had a few weeks back. It is now just a mass of blooms. I think this is where the stick insect was hiding. I want to prune it as it has gone crazy right in front of the garden shed. I'll wait a bit though & see how long it flowers. DH gave it a hair cut last year & it took off like a weed. Maybe it likes to be pruned. After much reaserch, I still do not know what it is.

A Pollinator

It takes all kinds of insects to pollinate flowers. Not quite sure what this one was, looks like a mosquito but could be a fly of some kind. I just love the contrast of purple & yellow on this flower. Not quite sure what that is either, but it flowers profusely when it gets water.

Mystery Blue Flower

On my recent trip away, I came across this blue flower on one of my walks. I have absolutely no idea as to what it is & have been searching the net trying to find it. The closest I have come is a "Blue Grass Lily", or a Dwarf Morning Iris", but I really don't think it is either one these. I'll keep searching. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated, just to satisfy my curiosity.
