A View

This was another view of Keelung that we had we had from our ship. We were on a tour today, and I had hoped that we would visit this temple (or whatever) high on this hill. Unfortunately not, but more about that later. At the moment, I was just enjoying this view before breakfast.

Suimui-utaki

Suimui-utaki is a site of worship inside the Shurijo Castle grounds. Unfortunately my camera was still on those horrid green settings, but we can still see the decoration on this building. There are dragons on each end of the roof guarding it, and beautiful artwork over the front entranceway.

Another Temple

Yes, still another temple. I am getting lost now, and have to keep referring to my itinerary. I think this was part of the Kinkaku-ji Temple grounds, found as we wandered back to our waiting taxi's from the Golden Temple. I remember there was lots of incense burning, the smoke of which can be seen in this pic. Incense and my nose do not get along so I stayed well back for this one. There were ropes to pull to make the bells ring, but because of all the incense, only a few brave ones from our group tried this task.

Golden Temple Pt 3

A different vie of the temple for you today. If you look closely you will see the phoenix shining on the very top. I must say that I love the reflections of this building in the surrounding lake.
