Jacaranda

The gorgeous jacaranda trees are out in flower. This one is around the corner, but there are many dotted around the neighbourhood. I just love their mauve colour.

How gorgeous is this? A Jacaranda tree in flower just down the road. I just love it when these trees come out in flower. The flowers appear before the leaves in spring, and if you are standing on top of a hill looking down a valley, the mauve flowers can be seen for miles. Then when they fall, there is this wonderful carpet of mauve on the ground. Just spectacular!
